Welcome to our monthly Training Bulletin. The below courses are available over the next few months from our external providers, and a few in house sessions. We’re looking forward to launching our new lunch and learn sessions, so keep your eyes peeled for those in the coming weeks.
New Clerk Induction (online)
Over 2 sessions, both need to be attended

This training provides an introduction to the key responsibilities of local councillors, covering council policies and procedures, meetings, agendas and minutes, the roles of councillors and chairmen, employment matters, and relevant legislation. It also offers practical guidance on council finance and what to do before, during and after meetings, while providing opportunities to share experiences, develop problem-solving skills, access support and resources, and become familiar with common council terminology and jargon.
